Icecave tour from the Glacier Lagoon

Explore the stunning crystal ice caves in Europe’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. Once you enter the ice cave you’ll see that it’s simply a once in a lifetime experience. Departures 2016/17/18: From 1st of November 2016 to 1st of April 2017
Price: 185,- USD per person
Minimum age: 13 years.
Group Minimum: 4 people
Group Maximum: 13 people.
Duration: 2 – 4 hours.
Rating: Easy. Class 2 of 5 (Depending on the cave of the day more difficult off-trail hiking may occur. You may also have to put your hands down occasionally to keep your balance. May include easy snow climbs or hiking on talus/scree. Some Class 2 Ice Cave routes are better done with rope.)
Included:  Guided visit to a crystal ice cave, 4×4 transport, and all necessary safety gear.
What to bring: Warm and waterproof jacket and pants, hiking boots, headwear, and gloves.
Departure: From Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon at 09:00 and 12:00. Meeting time is 15 min before departure.
Note: That ice caves are an ever changing natural phenomenon and, therefore, unpredictable. We will visit one ice cave during the tour and the choice of a cave is based on conditions and safety.
